One Crazy Day!

Last Monday morning,  I was downtown with Rylynn while she was in surgery to remove her pins and examine her arm and Garrett was in the valley with Carter for his adnoid surgery.  Beckett was being watched by our friend.  It was a Crazy Morning!!
Carter has had lots of problems with his ears for years and after tubes didn't solve the problems, we went to the next step and had his adnoid removed and had a new tube placed in his right ear.

His recovery was very fast and went very well.  He vegged out on the couch with Ollie for a couple hours and then ran around the house as usual.  In fact he got all mad at me that I wouldn't let him ride his bike around that afternoon!!  I had to explain to him that he had had something cut out of his head that morning!!  When he showed up for school the next day the teachers were shocked.  I told them I couldn't keep him home even if I wanted to:)

Rylynn's surgery went really well too and the end is in sight for all her arm drama.  The Dr said that after removing the pins he was able to straighten out her arm to see if it was going to pull to the side like he thought it might.  I was so happy to hear that it had healed perfectly straight!  She's in physical therapy twice a week and it is getting stronger each day.  She only has to wear her splint now when she is playing outside which she is really excited about.

Amid all the children's surgeries we are being forced out of our house and have been packing like crazy to stick all of our belongings into a storage unit.  Life has taken a very unexpected turn for us and it has been a really rough month but I am thankful for wonderful friends and family who are helping and supporting us through this chaos of our lives.  I have yet to understand the Lord's plan in all of this but I know he will provide for us as he always has and I know he has not abandoned us.  For now I am going to take the kids to UT for the month of July while Garrett works his buns off for his big trial on July 11th.  Then hopefully we will be able to all live together under one roof and not have to move again for a long time!!!  I hate moving!

Memorial Day and 9 Years!

We had a great Memorial Day this year.  We had a beautiful day and decided to go to a fun park in Post Falls for lunch with some friends.  This park has a playground and ponds with ducks to feed and huge waterfalls.  We had a great time walking around and enjoying the day.

Beckett is apparently asking me what I am doing:)

Rylynn and all the kids were amazed by the huge waterfalls.  The water was crazy and so much higher than when we went for Mother's Day.
Carter insisted on wearing this rainbow colored marti gras necklace to the park:)  It was very festive!

I love these cute kids and the friendship they have.  They are such good buddies.

These two are becoming better friends every day.  It was rough going there for awhile because Carter is very protective of the things he builds and the "car sets" he makes with his cars and Beckett of course wants to come and destroy them or "play with them".  We have been working on sharing and helping Beckett to know how to play without ruining Carter's things.  The last couple days they have really played well together.  There's hope for their friendship!

Did I mention that the water was crazy?!

Beckett was all over the place and loving the afternoon at the park!  We wore him out so much that he came home and crashed for three hours.  That night we went to the park right by our house and played with several families in our ward.  It was a really fun day!

A couple nights ago Rylynn lost her fourth tooth and her first top tooth.  It is so funny to see her with a missing front tooth.  She is getting so old and I can't believe she is about to finish kindergarten in a couple days.
We have had a rough couple of weeks in our house since we have been struggling back and forth with our landlord about whether we get to continue to live here or whether he is going to sell, so our lives have been completely up in the air and stressful.  So I was really bummed a couple weeks ago about the whole thing and I was telling my Mom that I was sad that all our friends were going to Wicked and that we can't afford to do anything cool so she and my Dad decided to surprise us and buy us Wicked tickets for our anniversary!!!  It was so much fun.  I have wanted to see Wicked for 4 years now and everytime I had the chance it somehow just didn't work out.  So Garrett and I got a babysitter and used a groupon to go out to dinner and then we got to go and feel all cultured and see an amazing musical!  On the way home I said well it's been awhile since we had a 5 hour date!  It was a great way to celebrate the 9 years that we have been married and the 10 years that we have known eachother.  I am so happy that eventhough life has been hard, I have been able to walk through it the last 10 years with my best friend at my side.  We have had a tough couple of years but I don't know what I would have done if Garrett wasn't there to love me and support me through all the uncertainty.  I am one lucky girl!
