When Papa comes to town the kids can count on two things: they will get way too much candy, and they will be spoiled with fun activities! So Papa of course had to live up to his legacy and brought the kids a candy surprise for every day that he was here. He came into town to help me with the kids while Garrett was gone to Seattle to take the Bar and just in case the baby decided to come early. Every day he was here was filled with fun activities and they would get so worn out by the end of the day and just crash.
One of the fun things we did was go to Chuck E Cheese. This one was soooo much nicer than the ghetto one in Cleveland! It was brand new and the kids had so much fun.

They rode lots of rides and played a ton of games. Some other fun things we did was go to the chocolate factory, swam at the lake, went out for Chinese food, walked around the temple, played at the playland in McDonalds, went the Cabela's or as the kids call it "the animal store"and went to the water fountain park. We also got to go to cousin Stacey's house for their yummy neighborhood salmon cook out. They had a blow up bouncy castle/water slide and the kids were in heaven. We were very busy!
The day that I had my doctor's appt for the baby, my Dad took the kids to Riverfront Park in downtown Spokane. They got to ride the carousel. After the first ride Carter burst into tears because he wanted to go again so Papa bought a 10 ride pass and they just kept going and never got sick of it.

Riverfront park is so cool because it has tons of carnival rides and a big ferris wheel. It also has a spray fountain park, an IMAX theater, a gondola ride that goes over the falls and tons of other cool stuff.

The night that Daddy got home from taking the Bar we went to the Liberty Lake carnival at our favorite park. It was just a little carnival put on by the library but we had a lot of fun.
They had tons of little games and the kids won tickets for playing the games and then they could cash them in for prizes or balloon animals.

Carter picked a sword and Rylynn picked a doggy. Carter was stabbing everyone and his balloon popped almost immediately. He was sad.

Probably my favorite thing about the visit was watching the kids do their exercises with Papa every morning. My dad has done these same exercises every morning since I can remember so it was so funny to watch the kids get so excited to do them with him. They loved it and Papa turned it into a game so when Daddy came home they had to put on a show and do their exercises for Daddy.
Thanks for all the help, fun, and treats Papa! We love you!
