He didn't know what to think about the candle at first.
After a minute he got more interested. This is his oooohhh face. Anytime he gets excited about something he points to it and says oooohh!
Beckett was very helpful in blowing out the candle for Dallas. He's a good big brother that way. He also loves to take things from him:)
Dallas took his time with the cupcake too. First he just grabbed at the frosting.
It didn't take long for him to realize how awesome that fluffy white stuff is! I love Carter and Rylynn's faces in these pictures. They were so excited for Dallas to discover sugar.
The cupcake did not stay contained in the bib unfortunately. Once he got to the cake part he started flinging the frosting off his fingers.
By the end, he was a big fan of the tiny cake:) Then it was present time!
No, we did not get him a rubber spatula for his present. He just happens to be obsessed with them and grabbed one out of the dishwasher when we weren't looking. The kids helped me pick out some little toys for Dallas and they were so excited for him to get them.
He loved his little snuggly giraffe. Rylynn and Carter insisted that he needed a stuffed animal friend for his crib. They had been lending him some of theirs for awhile so it was time.
Grandma brought him the little cow toy and he loved watching it sing and shake all over the floor. He loved the little singing book too.
We also got him some of his very own sippy cups since he is constantly stealing the other kids off their night stands. He was very excited about that present!
Dallas is such a happy boy! He loves his sister and brothers and loves to sit up at the counter with them and be one of the kids.
We love his bright blue eyes and his pokey ears.
We always know when he is done eating because he starts dropping food on the floor and says, "uh oh".
He loves walking around with his little walking pusher and he took his first 5 steps in a row on his birthday. He was walking everywhere a few days later.
Everything goes into his mouth so we have to be very careful when he's around! He loves being outside, swimming in the pool, and getting into everything. He likes to play in the dishwasher and the tupperware cupboard the most while Mommy is cooking.
Dallas has always adored Rylynn. She was the first to get him to really laugh and he always has to say goodnight to her before he goes to bed. When it's time for a nap or bedtime he waves his hand and says, "nigh nigh" to everyone. Then he leans his whole body toward whoever it is he wants to hug good night. He does this with all his siblings and with his Daddy before he goes to bed. He is a good eater and has 2 little teeth on the bottom. His two top teeth are coming in too.
Dallas loves being in the kitchen because it is the center of the house and he always has to be where the action is. Anytime the oven or stove goes on he points and yells, "OTT" for hot. We are so thankful for this little bundle of energy and can't wait to see more of his personality shine through in this next year.
